Patiala, October 11 – Newsline Express –ย ย ย On the orders of the Honorable Court Civil Judge, Ms. Simran, PCS, Patiala, renowned social worker and businessman Harmeet Kandahari personally arrived with government employees and workers to take over the State Bank of India Life Insurance Company’s Patiala office. This case involves the State Bank of India Life Insurance Company located near the Patiala Main Post Office.
It took considerable efforts for the company’s branch manager and senior bank officials to postpone the seizure. Finally, after nearly two hours of pleading, senior officials finally convinced and requested Mr. Harmeet Singh Kandahari, MD of the Kandahari Group, to grant a week’s time.
ย A senior bank official has given a written assurance that they will pay MD Harmeet Singh Kandhari the outstanding amount of over โน27 lakh, along with interest, by October 17th.ย
ย ย It is noteworthy that famous M/s Janki Devi Kandhari Estate Private Limited, House No. 1, Bhupinder Road, Near Stadium, Patiala, owned by a philanthropist family of Patiala, and its Managing Director Harmeet Singh Kandhari, son of late Joginder Singh, resident of Flat No. G 201, Ambience, NH-8 Island, Near Ambience Mall, Gurgaon, Haryana, had filed a case in the Patiala Court against the aforementioned individuals/companies, etc., and as per the orders of Hon’ble Mrs. Sucheta Ashish Dev, Additional Sessions Judge, Patiala, dated 04-12-2024, the complainant, decree holder Kandhari Company, was to be paid โน2,713,110, along with interest. However, the State Bank of India has not paid this amount to decree holder Kandhari.ย
ย ย Now, orders have been given to confiscate the said property. It is noteworthy that the properties to be seized also include the bank building, furniture, and ACs located on the first floor of SBI Life Insurance Company.
These orders have been issued in the following cases: 1) SBI Life Insurance Company Limited, through its Branch Manager, Branch Office, Patiala (now SCO 6, 1st Floor, Chhoti Barandari, Patiala); 2) SBI Life Insurance Company Limited, through its Regional Director (North-1), SCO 109-110, 3rd Floor, Sector 17B, Chandigarh; and 3) Shri Ashutosh Sharma, Regional Director (North-1), SBI Life Insurance Company Limited, SCO 109-110, Sector 17B, Chandigarh.

Now, orders have been given to attach the said property. It is noteworthy that the list of properties to be seized also includes the bank building, furniture and AC located on the first floor of SBI Life Insurance Company. Now it remains to be seen whether State Bank of India Life Care Company will pay lakhs of rupees to the famous business group within a week or something else will happen.ย ย ย ย ย Newsline Expressย ย
