???? Unmarried women have right to terminate pregnancy up to 24 weeks: Supreme Court
New Delhi, 29 September – Newsline Express – The Supreme Court has given a big decision on the abortion case of unmarried women. The apex court also gave unmarried women the right to abort up to 24 weeks.
The Supreme Court has extended Rule 3-B of the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Rules. Till now, married women had the right to abortion of more than 20 weeks and less than 24 weeks of pregnancy. The court held it to be against the right to equality.
