*๐ฉ Prominent industrialists, teachers, sarpanches, members of VDCs, and youth were in attendance*
*๐ฉ A tree plantation drive was also undertaken at the spot*
*๐ฉ Total attendance was around 1,500*
1) As part of the anti-drugs campaign undertaken in Sangrur district, a seminar was organized in Dhuri today.
2) The event was graced by DIG Patiala Range, who spoke at length about the menace of drugs, efforts by the Punjab Government and Police, and emphasized the importance of public cooperation for the success of this endeavor.
3) The public was also cautioned against cyber frauds, travel agent frauds, online abuse of children and adolescents, and urged families to monitor the activities of teenagers and youth.
4) The program featured compositions by students and members of the public.
5) The Industrial Chamber appreciated the unique initiative to involve all sections of society in the fight against drugs and pledged to provide employment to all addicts who undergo rehabilitation and reintegrate into mainstream society.
6) There was a demand for spreading such awareness among school children during morning assemblies, which would have a strong multiplier effect.
