Chandigarh/Mohali –ย December 18 – Newsline Express –ย ย ย The ongoing NCC Annual Training Camp-2024 at Chandigarh University featured a vital session on CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid, conducted by Dr. Shaina Verma from Punjab State Red Cross. The session aimed to empower cadets with essential life-saving skills, focusing on the importance of timely intervention during medical emergencies.
Camp Commandant Group Captain Ajay Bhardwaj opened the session by emphasizing the criticality of First Aid and CPR. Sharing his own experience, he narrated how timely first aid once saved his life during a high-pressure situation, underlining the value of being prepared for emergencies.
Dr. Verma provided hands-on training in CPR techniques and first aid measures for scenarios such as choking, fractures, burns, and bleeding. Her interactive approach, combined with practical demonstrations, engaged the cadets deeply, fostering confidence in their ability to respond effectively in real-life situations.
