????Patiala Foundation Promotes Water Conservation Among Students Through Workshop

????Expressed gratitude to Mr. Harpreet Singh Sandhu (Chairman) for motivating students

Patiala, 25 April – Newsline Express –     In a continued effort to inspire responsible water usage among the younger generation, Patiala Foundation organized its fifth workshop under the initiative “Save Water: Think, Act, Preserve” at New Daffodils High School, Patiala. The program was conducted in collaboration with the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology (PSCST) and supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change.
Held under Project PRITHVI, the flagship initiative of the foundation, the workshop aimed to instill environmental responsibility among students while promoting sustainable practices and conscious living.

The session began with a pre-assessment to evaluate students’ understanding of water usage and conservation. This was followed by engaging sessions conceptualized by Ravee Singh Ahluwalia, Founder and CEO of Patiala Foundation. He emphasized that the future of water conservation depends on the choices made today and encouraged students to adopt simple, mindful habits to protect this vital resource. The workshop concluded with a post-assessment to measure learning outcomes.
An informative session on clean and safe water, along with the growing issue of water scarcity, was delivered by Rudraksh Sisodia from Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law. He highlighted the importance of protecting water resources for public health, ecological balance, and long-term sustainability. Addressing concerns such as overconsumption, pollution, and climate change, he encouraged students to adopt responsible water usage practices.

Adding an interactive dimension, Ms. Nishu Gupta conducted a practical session on water conservation in daily life. Through activity-based learning, real-life examples, and simple strategies, she motivated students to adopt water-saving habits. Students also participated in creative activities, including writing postcards to their parents promoting water conservation and contributing messages to a “Water Tree.”
The workshop featured dynamic discussions on water wastage, sustainable consumption, and conservation techniques such as reuse, efficient usage, and rainwater harvesting—reinforcing the message of turning awareness into action.  Mr. Pawan Goyal, Senior Member of Patiala Foundation, further enriched the session by sharing practical examples and encouraging students to take individual responsibility in saving water.
Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), the initiative highlighted the importance of collective efforts in addressing environmental challenges.
Sharing his vision, Ravee Singh Ahluwalia stated,
“Water conservation is not just a responsibility, but a necessity for our survival. The small choices we make in our daily lives can collectively create a lasting impact. Through such initiatives, we aim to empower the younger generation to become conscious citizens and active contributors towards a sustainable future.”

The organizing team expressed gratitude to Mr. Harpreet Singh Sandhu (Chairman) for motivating students, and extended special thanks to the school management—Mrs. Pardeep Kaur (Principal), Mrs. Anuradha Rani, Mrs. Sudha Rani, and Mrs. Varinder Kaur—for their support in successfully conducting the workshop.
The initiative, carried out under the aegis of PSCST and supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, reflects a shared commitment to building environmentally responsible citizens. The session concluded with a strong call for adopting small, consistent actions to conserve water, encouraging students to become ambassadors of change.    Newsline Express
